Goodnight everyone, and have a Francais weekend

It's Friday night. Time to unwind with our regular Friday night feature on This Just In.

The weekend has finally arrived.

The sun has set.

The evening sky has erupted.

Let's put controversy and provocative blogs aside for the rest of this work week and smooth our way into Saturday and Sunday.

Tonight, some French pastry in honor of Bastille Days.

We open with something from today’s Smooth Jazz charts. No fancy video on this one, just a nice French touch (note the accordion) from the normally tropical sounding Rippingtons.

Give a listen to, “Paris Groove.”

Last Tango in Paris (1972) Poster

In this famous scene from the movie……

RING!

Now who could that be?

RING!

Excuse me for a moment.

KEVIN: Hello?

Caller: Kevin, editor Mark Maley here…

MARK: I want to remind you, Kevin, that this is a family, community blog. We let you get away with a lot because you’re one of our top 100 bloggers, but there is a line, y’know.

KEVIN: You mean the Marlon Brando stuff….

MARK: IS OUT! Capiche?

Sure, I capiche.

Well, alright, then let’s move onto something safe.

In the 60’s, Paul Mauriat took a French song and turned it into an instrumental smash.

That’s it for this evening.

We close with Melissa Manchester singing on the Tonight Show.

Bon Soir!
