A quick update on the Franklin Little League story

I received a lengthy, thoughtful e-mail today from a source close to the Franklin Little League story who sides with the Little League. However, in the long e-mail, this individual tells me Devin Baehr was nominated for All-Star consideration. The e-mailer then writes, “I can not begin to guess as to why Devin did not receive a single vote.”

Not a single vote? You can’t tell me there’s nothing fishy about this.

In my original blog, I wrote that the Rockies were 0-4 since Devin Baehr left the team. They are actually 1-3 since Devin's departure and I apologize for the error.

Devin's father denies he used profanity in a discussion with Franklin LIttle League officials and denies he refused to shake hands with one of them, as were the allegations made by a Franklin Little League Board member on my blog. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of he said/he said that has emerged during this story.

I have also received a handful of e-mails suggesting that I have a personal relationship with the Baehr’s. I’ve never met them, seen them, or heard of them until recently. They are not my neighbors. The only contact I’ve had with father and son is one brief phone conversation.
