Last week, when the state Assembly was scheduled to take up the state budget on Wednesday, floor action was delayed a day because Democratic state Rep. Ann Hraychuck of Balsam Lake was out of state due to the death of her mother-in-law.
The state budget goes before the state Senate Wednesday at 1:00. The funeral for the 91-year old father of state Senator Dale Schultz also takes place Wednesday on the far western side of the state. Schultz is a Republican.
Have Senate Democrats delayed floor action on the budget by a day? No they have not.
