I am the first to admit that I have been blessed my entire life and career. Doors have been opened to wonderful experiences and I have enjoyed meeting many fantastic people. Certainly, I hope that more great opportunities are in my future.
Every once in a while, some new surprise that you weren’t expecting bursts out of the blue to add another exciting life chapter.
That happened to me last week. And I must tell you, it was rather humbling. What occurred has to rank right up there with personal events that have been the most rewarding and gratifying.

The Shepherd Express also hands out a Hero of the Week.
To be honest, that's one I never ever want to win.
