Kevin Fischer is a veteran broadcaster, the recipient of over 150 major journalism awards from the Milwaukee Press Club, the Wisconsin Associated Press, the Northwest Broadcast News Association, the Wisconsin Bar Association, and others. He has been seen and heard on Milwaukee TV and radio stations for over three decades. A longtime aide to state Senate Republicans in the Wisconsin Legislature, Kevin can be seen offering his views on the news on the public affairs program, "InterCHANGE," on Milwaukee Public Television Channel 10, and heard filling in on Newstalk 1130 WISN. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and their lovely baby daughter, Kyla Audrey, in Franklin.
Everybody, keep your eye on the LEVY
The Franklin Common Council will now embark on the most important issue they’ll tackle all year, far more important than Boomgaard, fees for non-profit organizations, or travel and expenses for aldermen: the city budget.
I would remind every taxpayer, FranklinNOW’s John Neville, every alderman, and especially Franklin’s #1 expert on budgets (just ask him), Alderman Lyle Sohns (“I will not vote for a budget that results in a tax rate greater than $5.75 per thousand, last year’s rate”) that the tax RATE is not as significant. It’s the tax LEVY that’s most important.
