Franklin wins!
The Franklin boy’s soccer team advanced in the WIAA playoffs by knocking off Milwaukee Rufus King tonight at Milwaukee South Stadium, 2-0.
There was no score at halftime before Franklin’s Antonio D’Amato broke the tie with an unassisted goal at 53:27. Casey Stoll scored unassisted at 64:18.
Franklin’s Scott Knowski, who serves as the placekicker for Franklin’s playoff football team, limped off the field at 16:17 after running into the King goalie, but returned at 21:55 with no visible problems.
Franklin will now face the #1 seed in the sectional, Marquette, at Marquette University on Saturday at 5:00. OUCH!
