Vote for Jim "Luigi" Schmitt for Milwaukee County Clerk Tuesday

Voters in Milwaukee County go to the polls Tuesday (tomorrow) to vote in the Democrat primary for Milwaukee County Clerk. The winner advances to the general election in November and for all intents and purposes will be the county clerk because there is no Republican running.

I recommend voting for Milwaukee County Supervisor Jim “Luigi” Schmitt. A supervisor since 1998, Schmitt understands county government. Not the perfect candidate, Schmitt, nevertheless, is the most moderate of the candidates in the race and without a conservative Republican on the ballot, he stands out.

Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker has not made an endorsement, but I believe that Schmitt would work the best with Walker out of all the candidates.

UPDATE on 9/9/08: Czarnezki wins

I know Joe very well. I trust he will do a very good job.
