Please take the time to read about John McCain's character

During former U.S. Senator from Tennessee Fred Thompson’s speech Tuesday night at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota, the former Law and Order star spoke at length about John McCain’s captivity as POW in Vietnam. It is a story I believe isn’t told enough.

Senator Thompson said being a POW doesn’t qualify an individual to be President, but it does show the character that individual possesses.

Between now and Election Day, I am going to end my blogs with a link to an entry I posted in May where John McCain, in his own words to the U.S. News and World Report, tells of his time held prisoner.

Maybe you already know the story. Maybe you don’t.

Maybe you won’t read the article today and will skip it.

And maybe between now and November, you’ll click the link out of curiosity, or because you simply want to be informed.

Read it, and then ask yourself, who has more character to be in charge of our Armed Forces and the security of our nation.

I will tell you up front, it’s a lengthy article. Is our election important enough for you to spend a few minutes reading up on this fine American?

Information is power. This information comes right from the candidate. Please read and take into full consideration as you make your choice for America’s next leader in our domestic challenges and the fight against terrorism.
