Kevin Fischer is a veteran broadcaster, the recipient of over 150 major journalism awards from the Milwaukee Press Club, the Wisconsin Associated Press, the Northwest Broadcast News Association, the Wisconsin Bar Association, and others. He has been seen and heard on Milwaukee TV and radio stations for over three decades. A longtime aide to state Senate Republicans in the Wisconsin Legislature, Kevin can be seen offering his views on the news on the public affairs program, "InterCHANGE," on Milwaukee Public Television Channel 10, and heard filling in on Newstalk 1130 WISN. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and their lovely baby daughter, Kyla Audrey, in Franklin.
Lessons to be learned from Wal-Mart
One of the major differences between conservatives and liberals is that while conservatives like to deal in factual material, liberals get wrapped up in emotional, feel good arguments when debating their case. It doesn’t take long before liberals run out of ammunition and steam. That’s one of the reasons why liberal talk radio has bombed. When there’s little substance and the hosts are a bore, audiences tend to drift away.
Barbara Fischer (no relation) is going to make liberals very unhappy today. She has written a great guest column in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that is sure to upset the left for several reasons:
1) Her piece is about (cue the theme music from “Jaws”) ……….WAL-MART!
2) It’s a positive piece about (keep the “Jaws” music playing)……..WAL-MART!
3) The column contains numerous facts to back up her case about …….WAL-MART!
4) She’s right.
