State Senator Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) represents parts of four counties: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, and Walworth. Her Senate District 28 includes New Berlin, Franklin, Greendale, Hales Corners, Muskego, Waterford, Big Bend, the town of Vernon and parts of Greenfield, East Troy, and Mukwonago. Senator Lazich has been in the Legislature for more than a decade. She considers herself a tireless crusader for lower taxes, reduced spending and smaller government.
Wisconsin roads were safer during 2008
Wisconsin had 589 traffic fatalities during 2008 compared to 739 during 2007, a 20 percent decline. Virginia also had a 20 percent decline in traffic fatalities.
Only the District of Columbia (30 percent), Massachusetts (27 percent), Alaska (23 percent), and Hawaii (22 percent) had a greater percentage drop in traffic fatalities than Wisconsin.
