Franklin’s baseball coach Jim Hughes won his 800th game with a 4-0 win over Sussex Hamilton on May 31, 2013. No one in Wisconsin history has won more high school baseball games than Hughes. What an impressive run.
Great job, Jim!
"I guess the only thing I can say is I know I've been around a long time. I'm happy to be able to have players that can do that for me and win a lot of games. That's a good feeling."
"He is the most organized coach I've been around. The most organized, disciplined coach I've been around. And just an absolute program builder. He's just set that foundation and that carries over year after year."
Greendale coach Brian Johnsen, who played for Hughes at Franklin from 1997-'99
Hughes and his Sabers were the subject of our #2 story in 2010.
