I often blog about Rehorst, a great product made at a great local company, Great Lakes Distillery.
My cousin, Doug MacKenzie makes the stuff. Yep, he's a bona fide distiller.
That would be him.

He’s in the news…again.
“Great Lakes Distillery's Kinnickinnic Whiskey has won the title of Best American Blended Whisky. The title was bestowed at the World Whiskies Awards March 21 in London. More than 300 whiskies from around the world were sampled in three rounds of blind tastings. Kinnickinnic Whiskey is a blend of three distinct whiskies: a bourbon, a malt and a rye whiskey. Master Distiller Doug MacKenzie blends the product to taste in small batches of about 1,000 bottles. It is available in 23 states.”
