This Just In ...
Kevin Fischer is a veteran broadcaster, the recipient of over 150 major journalism awards from the Milwaukee Press Club, the Wisconsin Associated Press, the Northwest Broadcast News Association, the Wisconsin Bar Association, and others. He has been seen and heard on Milwaukee TV and radio stations for over three decades. A longtime aide to state Senate Republicans in the Wisconsin Legislature, Kevin can be seen offering his views on the news on the public affairs program, "InterCHANGE," on Milwaukee Public Television Channel 10, and heard filling in on Newstalk 1130 WISN. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and their lovely baby daughter, Kyla Audrey, in Franklin.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Editorial Board never ceases to demonstrate out completely out of touch they are with reality.
Keep in mind that the MMSD continuously, when we get a couple of inches of rain, dumps millions and millions of crapola into our greatest natural resource, Lake Michigan . No one seems to care, including hypocritical enviros and the Journal Sentinel editorial writers who put up a gem last week, blasting a Michigan company for allowing oil to spill into the Kalamazoo River

One of my favorite interviews when I worked at WUWM, Milwaukee Public Radio was when Rick Smolan visited our studios.
HOLD THE PHONE!
Yes, it's true, bleeding heart liberals. I worked at public radio......FOR OVER 11 YEARS!
Back to the business at hand.
The name Rick Smolan may not ring a bell, but you’ve probably seen his work. Smolan is one of the key creators of the Day in the Life series of books, described this way on 247mediagroup.com:
“The most renowned photography book series in history. Created by Rick Smolan and David Elliot Cohen. Every Day in the Life book is shot by approximately 100 top photojournalists during a single 24-hour period.”
The end result is a gorgeous coffee table size book filled with incredible pictures. When Smolan and I met, we discussed his adventurous project, “A Day in the Life of America.”
Looking back, Smolan reminds me in many ways of Ken Burns, whom I also met and interviewed, that has captured so much of what is great about our history and culture.
Meeting Smolan. That was about 25 years ago, and I still remember.
That’s why I more than chuckled when I stumbled upon a blog by Chris Wysocki of
Case in point……a blog I read while filling in on WISN last Friday.
Imagine a bent out of shape liberal at a party, getting all huffy and puffy and storming out of the room.
