Jennifer is a one in a million stay-at-home mom. (More like one OF a million stay at home moms!) She graduated from a liberal arts college but there is nothing liberal OR artsy about her. She is married to Kevin Fischer of This Just In, and together they have a beautiful young daughter Kyla Audrey. In no particular order she loves dogs, wine, a good bargain, her family, pizza, and entertaining. Follow her blog of all things miscellaneous including but not limited to cooking and baking, entertaining and party planning, being a mommy, and homekeeping.
I admit I’m looking forward to Kyla starting dance lessons soon. She has a keen interest in ballet AND Irish dancing. Who knows? Maybe she’ll end up doing both. In any case, we will surely be as proud as any parents when her first recital is upon us. Kevin & I will be beaming from ear to ear, sharing the moment with… um, each other.
As Kevin pointed out yesterday, we were able to enjoy at least some of Franklin’s Independence Day parade. When Kyla’s face looked like a tomato, I said that’s it we’re calling it a day. We drank as much water as we could and I brought her umbrella to hold over her head for a bit of shade but it just didn’t matter. I wasn’t going to have my daughter pass out just for the sake of grabbing one more lollipop and wave to one more participant.
Potty training… We’re close but not 100% there yet. Kyla still needs some supervision to make sure everything is taken care of. I don’t mind, and usually she is quite good about the process.
So your beautiful daughter graduated this June. You were very proud of her accomplishments, as you should be. In just a short amount of time, she learned everything you hoped she would, and more. Additionally you were thrilled because her education took place in a Christian environment so Jesus was part of the curriculum.
Yesterday I spent a brief moment in our basement. By the time I came upstairs, I had two bags of baby clothes to donate to our church, four paper shopping bags to donate to Goodwill, and two large garbage bags to take to the curb for pick up. Feeling better after the philanthropic purge, I also decided to tidy up one of Kyla’s closets. (A blessing AND a curse is that her bedroom has a regular closet AND a linen closet.)
Everyone knows by now that I’m a sucker for a (THEMED!) party. Honestly I’d rather not tally up the time I spend on Pinterest and some of my favorite blogs just drooling over the creativity and talent of party stylists.
At 5 feet 3 ½ inches in height, the only place I’d ever be considered tall is here:
The first time I had a Pimm’s Cup was when I was in
Since March 25, 2009, my perspective about everything has changed. Dramatically. There isn’t one area of my life that I don’t look at differently: health, nutrition, education, safety, finance, politics, relationships, parenting. Especially parenting.
