Ms. Elaine Kneeous

Jennifer is a one in a million stay-at-home mom. (More like one OF a million stay at home moms!) She graduated from a liberal arts college but there is nothing liberal OR artsy about her. She is married to Kevin Fischer of This Just In, and together they have a beautiful young daughter Kyla Audrey. In no particular order she loves dogs, wine, a good bargain, her family, pizza, and entertaining. Follow her blog of all things miscellaneous including but not limited to cooking and baking, entertaining and party planning, being a mommy, and homekeeping.

Tears from our President don't mean much to me

Like every parent in the United States, the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary shook me to the core.  I couldn’t stop crying that day; I hugged & kissed Kyla even more than usual; I prayed for the victims and their families.  I couldn’t stop thinking, “Here I am baking cookies and wrapping presents and parents have to plan funerals for their young children.”

To say life isn’t fair is the grossest understatement that there is.

In one of our many discussions about the events, I mentioned to Kevin how disturbed and irritated I was by President Obama’s speech to our country.  I said, “Here he is, wiping tears away and lamenting over precious lost lives and he’s one of the most radical abortion supporters there is.”  Talk about hypocritical.

A post on Facebook from “Defund Planned Parenthood” shares my feelings:
