Franklin Public Schools jabs with a left and upper cuts with a right!

Imagine a boxing match.

In one corner stands...

Across the ring...

The Franklin Public Schools administration is Mike Tyson. You Franklin property taxpayers who pay their salaries, benefits, operations, and crazy school taxes, well, sadly, you’re poor, puny, pint-size Pee Wee Herman.

You basically have about as much chance in this matchup as the proverbial snowball in Hell.

If I may use another comparison, pro wrestling fans will recall that Hulk Hogan would do in his opponents with a double finish.

First, the boot in the head after tossing his opponent off the ropes.

Then the flying leg drop as his victim was sprawled out on the mat.

Match over.

The same is true in Franklin this November when the folks running our schools want to hit you with a flurry of punches or wrestling moves in the form of tax and spend increases they hope you will actually inflict upon yourselves.

First comes the annual budget that will impose a property tax levy increase. The school board initially agreed to a 3.5% increase, but met Wednesday night to finalize the levy. They could have adjusted it, but odds are there will be some Increase.

Jab with a left!

They're also banking on you going to the polls in November and choosing to increase your taxes, not once, but three times to the tune of $48.8 million. Who does that during a lengthy recession marked by unemployment and foreclosures?

Upper cut with a right!

In essence, Franklin could get hit with FOUR separate property tax increases.

You can swing back on November 6. Vote NO on all three refererenda.

FRANKLIN, HELP STOP PROPERTY TAX BULLYING!
