Jennifer is a one in a million stay-at-home mom. (More like one OF a million stay at home moms!) She graduated from a liberal arts college but there is nothing liberal OR artsy about her. She is married to Kevin Fischer of This Just In, and together they have a beautiful young daughter Kyla Audrey. In no particular order she loves dogs, wine, a good bargain, her family, pizza, and entertaining. Follow her blog of all things miscellaneous including but not limited to cooking and baking, entertaining and party planning, being a mommy, and homekeeping.
“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”
March 2, 2012 will mark the 108th birthday of Dr. Seuss, one of the best known and most loved children’s authors ever. I have fond memories of reading Dr. Seuss books out loud, giggling at the tongue-twisted silliness of the rhymes. Now our precious preschooler Kyla has his books, and watches The Cat In The Hat Knows A Lot About That on PBS Kids.
There are wonderful ideas all around the blogosphere. I’ve rounded up a few so that you can celebrate all things Seuss in your own special way…
Have a big party! (That means throw a soiree.)
Gather the kids and watch The Cat romp all day.
Grab scissors, grab glue! Get crafty and play.
Need a change of your scenes? Then take a vacay!
Or, a virtual trip means you don’t Go Away.
I hope that, dear readers, I gave you a clue
Of the many, the plenty, the lots you can do.
To honor a man who gave children so much
Of giggles, of sniggles, of warbles and such.
Add a rhyme to your day and soon you will see
How fun, how amazing, how great you can be!
