My November issue of Townhall magazine contains an article with this headline:
“Exposing the Liberal Lies Destroying the Black Community”
Featured is a young black woman named Vanessa Jean Louis, a middle-school guidance counselor in the troubled neighborhood of
Growing up (she’s in her mid-20’s), Louis thought she was supposed to be a Democrat because Democrats care about minorities, the poor, the downtrodden, the oppressed. But she witnessed how her students from single-parent families did poorly or just didn’t care about education.
Katie Pavlich writes in Townhall magazine, “Louis has seen firsthand the toll progressive liberal policies have taken on the black community, specifically through the promotion and vast acceptance of out-of-wedlock childbirth, abortion and dependence on the government as normal.”
Louis told Pavlich, “Liberals have mastered the art of using black people to advance their agenda,” and “The most overtly racist policy is the abortion policy in this country. Millions and millions of black babies have been killed under the euphemism of choice.”
A regular contributor to the blog, “Hip Hop Republican,” Louis wrote earlier this year, “Liberals seem to think that government can supplant a married mommy and daddy and the human capital that is produced when children are raised in said family. Just ask anyone whose worked in ‘the hood’ for years, like myself, and they’ll tell you that government cannot compensate for broken families that all too often produce broken people. The question for Republicans, especially BLACK Republicans is: What are we doing for the people in the hood? What are our policy proposals that will help bring jobs to people so they can get off of ‘government’? “
Then this fall, Louis wrote, “In 1960 almost 80 percent of Black children were born in wed-lock. Today almost 70 percent are born out of wed-lock and that number is as high as 90 percent in the inner cities. However, today, poverty is primarily a result of family structure.
