Kevin Fischer is a veteran broadcaster, the recipient of over 150 major journalism awards from the Milwaukee Press Club, the Wisconsin Associated Press, the Northwest Broadcast News Association, the Wisconsin Bar Association, and others. He has been seen and heard on Milwaukee TV and radio stations for over three decades. A longtime aide to state Senate Republicans in the Wisconsin Legislature, Kevin can be seen offering his views on the news on the public affairs program, "InterCHANGE," on Milwaukee Public Television Channel 10, and heard filling in on Newstalk 1130 WISN. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and their lovely young daughter, Kyla Audrey, in Franklin.
School Board members Debbie Larson, Jeff Traylor, Judith Bialk and Melissa Klein voted for the 2.9 percent increase even though:
1) We’re in a recession.
2) The rate of inflation has been around 1 percent.
4) The farce of an annual electors meeting had a 10-10 tie vote for a tax increase.
5) There are plenty of FOR SALE signs all over town.
The message was clear: Screw you, taxpayers.
Linda Witkowski and Janet Evans voted no.
David Works was absent. I don’t know why, but barring an emergency, there is no reason to miss the most important and most important vote of the year.
