Angry Notre Dame fans, send e-mails to Kirk Herbstreit

As a devout Catholic and Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan, I never get too upset when the Notre Dame detractors (haters) spew their jealousy on national television.

This morning during the ESPN College Football Gameday, Kirk Herbstreit....

(so-so college QB.....

.....he never played in the pros, and he's a so-so ESPN analyst) picked Boston College to beat Notre Dame handily tonight because Notre Dame’s defense last week against Stanford looked like and played like, according to Herbstreit, “a high school defense.”

Final score:

Notre Dame 31

Boston College 13

Notre Dame would have won by a bigger margin if not for a couple of turnovers that led to two BC field goals.

High school defense, Kirk?

Tonight, Notre Dame’s “high school defense” gave up 269 total yards against Boston College. That includes only 4 yards rushing on 23 attempts.

Kirk Herbsteit’s alma mater, Ohio State gave up 251 total yards against lowly Illinois today. So, is Ohio State’s defense a “high school defense,” Kirk?

Notre Dame haters, keep it up. You will never take away the rich history and deep pride associated with this great institution.

Gee, Kirk, you kinda looked like a wussy high school QB on that play.
